I was so sad to hear of Mac's sudden death. I considered him a wonderful co-worker and friend. All of my memories of Mac make me smile. He had the unique talent of performing every task, big or small, with high quality, relative ease and a healthy dose of good humor. I once spent an afternoon with Mac at the warehouse painting props for the Rockwell exhibit. He started telling me about all these incredible places he'd been, from Israel to New Zealand. Mac couldn't believe it when I told him I'd never been outside the country. I said I needed to save up to buy a car and I didn't have time to travel. He told me, "Forget about the car, you've got the whole world to see yet!" His words will stay with me wherever I go.
