New Chapter

I have worked with Mac at Becker Group for 7 years. He was responsible for maintenence on all our buildings, but he was also a general all around fix-it guy. As such, since I'm in the "tech" department, he'd often end up helping on projects with us, or for us. He could fix just about anything, or knew someone who could, if he couldn't. He was full of life, and would always like to stop and share a story with you. I remember he told me a story once about how he and a friend, back in the 70's, drove from Baltimore to Mexico City in a muscle car, well, just because they could. He told me tales of how they just decided to up and go one day and of trying to explain their trip to the border guards and of the things they saw and did. On more of a work related note- I remember Mac telling us about how he had to climb up into "Santa's belly" to fix a 25' gigantic waving Santa from Brazil. A couple of years ago, we had to test iur various prelit trees and light sets for how they reacted with a GFI when wet. Our department, Tech Services, did this with Mac. There we were in rubber boots, with a garden hose, outside the loading dock at the warehouse, in February. It is going to he hard to imagine life at Becker Group without Mac, it really is. He was, and is, well loved and will be missed more than words can express. Rest in peace, Mac.
